COLLECTIONS
GMoMA Highlights +
Since its inauguration in 2005, the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art(GMoMA) has been dedicated to building a remarkable international collection of contemporary art, focusing on works created after the 1930s. Over the years, our collection has grown to encompass an impressive 692 artworks.
Our collection primarily features the core works of artists who have played pivotal roles in shaping the history of Korean art during the 1970s and 1980s, as well as representative pieces from the world of contemporary art that emerged after the 1990s. Additionally, we have a special emphasis on nature-friendly outdoor sculptures, adding a unique dimension to our collection.
These valuable artworks have been showcased to the public through exhibitions at GMoMA and other venues in both Korea and abroad, all organized under a variety of engaging themes. Furthermore, GMoMA is committed to fostering a deeper understanding of art through our educational programs.
